About Us
The Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD) is a government‐funded health organisation covering an area of 11,335 square kilometres from Port Macquarie to Coffs Harbour. It serves a population of approximately 215,000 people with a workforce of 4,694 across seven hospital sites and 12 community health centres.
Responsibilities
Using innovative, evidence‐based skills and interventions, you will professionally support individuals seeking assistance with alcohol and drug use. You will take a trauma‐informed, person‐centred approach and employ an individualised, holistic approach to care, incorporating comprehensive care planning to address the diverse physical, emotional, and social aspects of each person's journey.
Provide an effective and efficient social work service addressing the psychosocial aspects of care for patients, including support, education, and resources. Work closely with the Clinical Nurse Specialist and provide specialist counselling and case‐management support for clients who use drugs or alcohol and are pregnant or responsible for parenting children under two years old.

Salary will be in accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification. These awards are available online.
