The Opportunity
Reporting to our National Engineering Manager and based at the Malaga (Perth) location, the Lead Engineer is a key technical leader within our Industry (Projects and Services) team. The role involves technical leadership of design, development, testing, commissioning, maintenance and support of engineering projects and services across a diverse portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Technical leadership and oversight of projects and services across Automation, Control Systems, Software, Digital Twin, Industrial Intelligence and emerging solutions.
* Lead project and service delivery including planning, scheduling, resource allocation and proactive customer relationship management.
* Oversee on‐site project tasks, ensuring HSE, quality requirements are met and managing key customer relationships through agile service delivery.
* Ensure adherence to relevant standards, procedures, productivity tools and digital best practices.
* Promote the company as a market‐leading solutions provider, focusing on business opportunities and ensuring safe, on‐time, on‐budget completion of technical projects.
* Collaborate with technical and non‐technical stakeholders such as Engineering, Sales, Pre‐Sales, HSE, Supply Chain and others locally and globally.
* Focus on customer delivery and satisfaction by supporting end users, partners, vendors and contractors.
* Develop and mentor team members, fostering professional growth and a learning culture.
Ideal Candidate
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Engineer Australia certification is an advantage).
* Previous experience delivering Industrial Automation Engineering projects with a strong focus on control systems and digital solutions, ideally using Schneider Electric technology (AVEVA or Modicon).
* Strong understanding of industrial networking concepts, including switches, routers, firewalls and network architectures.
* Domain experience to interpret process descriptions and develop technical specifications and system designs.
* Exposure to Industry 4.0 technologies (IoT, data analytics, edge computing), cloud integration and cybersecurity for industrial control systems.
* Knowledge of Schneider Electric offers, digital twins, machine learning applications and advanced automation strategies is viewed favorably.
