About the role The Infrastructure Planning Manager holds a pivotal leadership role, entrusted with shaping and executing sophisticated asset management policies, strategic frameworks, and innovative solutions that safeguard the integrity and longevity of Council’s infrastructure portfolio. Through visionary planning and a commitment to best practices, this role ensures the delivery of sustainable and resilient outcomes that align seamlessly with the aspirations outlined in the Community Strategic Plan. Serving as a cornerstone of infrastructure stewardship, the Infrastructure Planning Manager orchestrates the optimisation of asset performance and champions forward-thinking budgeting strategies to anticipate and accommodate evolving community needs. With a sharp focus on operational efficiency and lifecycle management, this role enables the Council to make informed, impactful investment decisions. This position oversees Council’s asset management systems, spearheading their ongoing enhancement and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and strategic planning excellence. Remuneration $149,199.96 to $167,926.20 12% Superannuation Access to IWC Motor Vehicle Lease Back Scheme Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications Essential Requirements Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia or significant industry experience in asset management Significant experience in effective asset management leadership, including experience in asset life cycle management and performance measures Knowledge of and ability to implement NAMS and IIMM guidelines for asset management planning and requirements of LG Integrated Planning & Reporting Framework Demonstrated financial management, procurement and budgetary experience Experience in business operations, revenue & cost control Experience in project management, contract administration and contractor supervision Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders Experience leading and managing a customer-focused team Knowledge and skills in contemporary management practices, staff management, performance management, staff development, change management and quality management systems Understanding of or experience with the Australian Business Excellence framework or experience in development and execution of improvement initiatives or continuous improvement. Working knowledge of the Roads Act, Local Government Act and Environmental Planning & Assessment Act Knowledge of and commitment to equity and diversity principles, work health and safety, ethical practice and acting with probity at all times Current NSW Class C Driver’s Licence Desirable Requirements Experience in asset management modelling software.
