About the Job
There is an exciting opportunity to work with the Shire of Esperance as a Human Resources Officer. This position assists in the provision of effective human resources services to employees, managers and executives of the Shire of Esperance.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Facilitate the recruitment and selection processes in accordance with Equal Employment Opportunity principles and other relevant legislation.
Undertake policy/procedure development and review as requested.
Update HR Reports, including maintaining staff movement documentation and ensure the HR Module is appropriately updated.
Provide HR advice on employee relations issues.
This is a permanent full-time position, working 38 hours per week.
About you
In order to succeed and thrive in this position, the successful applicant will have:
Extensive experience in a similar administration role.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, exercise independent judgement and use initiative.
Developed knowledge of computer software packages (including Microsoft Office – particularly Word & Excel).
Well developed verbal and written communications skills.
Benefits
Salary
: $76,****** - $82,****** per annum, dependant on qualifications and experience.
Permanent staff are entitled to:
5 weeks annual leave per year
The option of one Rostered Day Off (RDO) every 4 weeks in exchange for working 40 hours per week.
Minimum of 12% superannuation employer contribution
Superannuation co-contribution offered to a maximum of 5%
