Job Overview
The role of Maintenance Planner is crucial to the success of our plant and equipment. This position will be responsible for providing equipment capability, reliability, and availability by supporting the Maintenance Superintendent and Supervisors.
This Senior Maintenance Planner will provide short, medium, and long-term plans for our plant and equipment to ensure the highest level of availability and utilisation is maintained.
The ideal candidate will have excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement maintenance plans that optimise plant and equipment availability.
* Source information required to deliver maintenance planning and project management.
* Proactively improve maintenance strategies, work practices, and critical spares and business continuity.
* Ensure continuity, accuracy, and functionality of the maintenance database.
* Update the Maintenance Superintendent on job progress and any anticipated delays.
* Facilitate maintenance projects as required.
* Screen Maintenance Requests and schedule tasks accordingly.
* Liaise with Operations and Maintenance departments to produce a work schedule for each shift.
* Produce shutdown plans using Microsoft Project when required.
* Create shutdown work packs including Gantt charts, permits, tools, and equipment lists when required.
* Produce Maintenance 'End of Month' reports.
* Raise material, service, and hire requisitions through 'PRONTO.'
* Assess site equipment and create a 'Critical Spares list.'
* Interrogate condition monitoring reports to predict equipment lifespan and create follow-up work orders.
