About the Psychologist/Clinical Psychologist role
This position is based within the Wellbeings Therapy & Assessment Services at Capital Region Community Services (CRCS). The Psychologist will provide therapy and assessment services to a range of clients, utilising sound clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice to inform practice and deliver high quality client care. Assessments include ADHD, autism, mental health, and Cognitive Assessments for children and adults. The Psychologist will participate in regular peer supervision and work with a multidisciplinary team. You will engage in professional development and be comfortable delivering services to clients with a range of presentations.

The main accountabilities and duties include, but not limited to:
* Providing counselling and mental health intervention to children, adolescents, and adults, and older adults who are referred both externally and internally through other CRCS Programs.
* Provide high-quality assessments and reports for conditions such as autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Cognitive Assessments, mental health assessments, etc.
* Be familiar with traditional evidence-based theories and interventions, such as CBT, ACT, etc. and be aware of various expressive therapies, such as art, sand play, etc.
* Implement trauma-informed practice and embed these in daily practice with clients and colleagues.
* Demonstrate sound clinical reasoning skills, such as formulation and treatment planning.
* Any other responsibilities as per the position description.
Selection Criteria for the role:
* Registered to practice as a psychologist in Australia with the Psychology Board of Australia
* Experience in using a range of models and strategies to observe, assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions that influence the social and emotional learning and development of children, young people, and families (e.g. Theories of behaviour, Attachment Theory, Trauma-Informed Practice, Behaviour Support, Systems Theory, etc.).
* Experience in providing psychological assessments to clients of varying ages, for a range of presenting issues.
* Experience providing individual therapy to children, young people, adults, and older adults.
* Experience providing individual therapy to a range of presenting issues including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, grief, family dysfunction, workplace stress, difficulty managing life challenges.
* CRCS employees must hold a satisfactory Working with Vulnerable People registration and have this with them at all times whilst employed by CRCS.
* CRCS employees are required to undertake a National Criminal History Clearance by CRCS prior to commencing and every three years thereafter as a condition of employment. Employees are required to advise CRCS of any convictions that may affect their eligibility to work or performing the inherent requirements of their position.
* Current Driver's Licence and access to a registered, comprehensively insured motor vehicle for work related purposes.
* CRCS may require the incumbent to undertake employment screening such as a medical assessment, functional assessment or psychological profile prior to an offer of employment and/or as determined by CRCS during employment
