Postdoctoral Researcher Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and suitably qualified researcher to join a cutting-edge project focused on the self-consistent analysis of black hole horizons and their observational signatures.

This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic research environment, collaborating closely with a team of experts in physics and astronomy. The successful candidate will lead the development of modelling codes and have primary responsibility for at least one project within the broader research program.

Key responsibilities include:

* Developing and implementing numerical relativity methods
* Analyzing results and preparing manuscripts for publication
* Contributing to the theoretical components of the project

To be considered for this position, applicants must have a strong background in physics and astronomy, with expertise in numerical relativity and black hole physics. A PhD in Physics, Astrophysics, or Mathematical Physics is required, as well as a strong record of computer programming and experience in numerical simulation of quantum field-detector interaction.

A competitive salary package is offered, including superannuation and annual leave loading. The full-time, fixed-term contract is for 1 year at Macquarie University, with flexible working arrangements available.
