Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Sales
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow enrolments and partnerships.
Generate leads and convert them into enrolments through targeted campaigns and outreach.
Develop and maintain a pipeline of schools, employers and industry contacts.
Attend industry events, expos and networking functions to promote RTO services.
2. Relationship Management
Build and maintain relationships with schools, employment providers, job actives and industry partners.
Act as the primary liaison between the RTO and key stakeholders.
Provide tailored training solutions based on client and industry needs.
3. Strategic Planning & Reporting
Contribute to the development and execution of business development strategies.
Analyse market trends and competitor activity to inform future growth areas.
Report on KPIs, lead conversion rates and partnership outcomes to management.
4. Compliance & Promotion
Ensure all marketing and business development activities comply with ASQA and government funding body requirements.
Promote training products accurately and ethically adhering to the Standards for RTOs.
Assist in the preparation of promotional materials and campaigns.
Key Selection Criteria
Essential
Proven experience in business development, sales or stakeholder engagement within the VET sector.
Strong understanding of RTO operations and funding models (e.g. VETiS, Certificate 3, Guarantee, User Choice) and compliance frameworks.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Current driver's licence and willingness to travel.
Desirable
Experience working with regional communities, schools or employment service providers.
Understanding of CRM systems (e.g. Zoho, Salesforce).
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE***** or equivalent) or willingness to obtain.
Performance Measures
Monthly and quarterly enrolment targets achieved.
Number and quality of partnerships established or maintained.
Lead-to-enrolment conversion rate.
Stakeholder satisfaction and engagement metrics.
Compliance with all marketing and client communication requirements.
