What you'll be doing
Assisting with general farm duties such as feeding and caring for livestock
Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment
Fencing, property maintenance, and other physical labour as required
Supporting the implementation of sustainable farming practices
Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental policies
Collaborating with the farm team to complete tasks in a timely manner
What we're looking for
Some prior experience working in a farm or similar agricultural setting
A keen interest and passion for the farming industry
Proficient in the use of farm machinery and equipment
Strong physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour tasks
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
Having a work dog/dogs would be advantageous

Old Murroa PTY LTD operates a sheep breeding, store lamb and commercial cattle business covering 1,600 ha at the foot of Mt Napier, near Hamilton, Victoria. This picturesque property has developed laneway systems, undercover sheep and cattle yards and has undergone significant improvement of fencing and pastures enabling increases in efficiency and carrying capacity.
Old Murroa PTY LTD is currently running 6000 self-replacing composite ewes and 700 commercial Angus breeding cows. Our team undertakes fencing, pasture renovations and maintenance themselves, and with the assistance of contractors where needed. The business is also complimented with a hay and silage program in Spring and summer.
Along with being involved in all elements of livestock management the successful candidate will be required to undertake a variety of daily tasks including fencing, yard building and repairs, welding and machinery maintenance.
