About the role
We are seeking a commercially astute and strategically minded Corporate Development Manager to join our high-performing team based in Melbourne.
This is a genuinely rare opportunity for a team player to fast-track their career and make their mark with a leading role in the Company's FP&A, M&A, strategic initiatives and commercial projects.
As Corporate Development Manager, you will play a critical role in the company's long-term growth strategy.
Working in a collegiate, entrepreneurial and high-performance culture, you will report to the GM Corporate Development with direct exposure to the full C-suite.
With a mandate for growth and a highly experienced Corporate Development team with a track record of M&A, you will have a unique opportunity to work on a broad range of transactions in a tight-knit environment committed to your development.
Candidates will ideally come from a Big 4 or top-tier professional services, corporate finance or investment banking background and may be looking to step into a position in-house.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and assess potential acquisition, divestment, and partnership opportunities aligned with corporate strategy;
Lead financial modelling, valuation analysis, market research and due diligence;
Prepare investment cases and board-level presentations for proposed transactions;
Partner with internal stakeholders including legal, finance, operations, and business units during deal execution and integration;
Take responsibility for the monthly Board pack preparation and collation;
Ad hoc analysis and evaluation of the financial and operating performance of the Group and its various subsidiaries; and
Highly involved in the annual budgeting process and ongoing rolling forecasting process.
About you
4–6 years' experience in corporate development, investment banking, transaction services, or private equity;
Strong financial modelling, commercial analysis, and deal execution skills;
Strong Excel skills – managing large data sets and presenting information in a digestible and easy-to-understand way;
Extensive financial planning and analysis skills and experience;
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment;
Degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics or related field; CA, CFA or MBA highly regarded; and
Highly diligent with unparalleled attention to detail.
