Hewitt is a global, vertically integrated food business supplying organic and high-claims red meat to customers across Australia, North America and Asian markets. As we continue to realise our global ambition to scale and grow internationally, we are seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to own the integrity of our financial reporting and control environment.
The Role
Reporting to the CFO, the Group Financial Controller is responsible for end-to-end financial reporting, accounting standards, controls, and compliance across the Group. This role leads global finance operations and ensures accurate, timely close and consolidated reporting, with no surprises.
Key Responsibilities
* Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close across all entities
* Deliver accurate consolidated P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
* Set and enforce global accounting policies (IFRS/GAAP)
* Lead audit readiness and manage external and internal audits
* Oversee global finance operations including GL, AP, AR, payroll, and statutory reporting
* Support acquisitions through accounting due diligence and integration
* Drive process improvement, standardisation, and automation across finance
About You
* 10+ years' experience in financial control, accounting, or audit roles
* Strong technical accounting and consolidation expertise
* Proven experience in multi-entity or global environments
* Strong controls, compliance, and audit leadership
* CA / CPA / ACA qualified
* Detail-driven, disciplined, and confident owning the numbers
