We have an exciting opportunity for Electrical & Instrumentation Commissioning Technician to join Powertech on Oil and Gas Project .
Position Overview:
* Role: Electrical & Instrumentation Commissioning Technician - Loop Check Experience
* Start date: ASAP 2026
* Duration: 3 - 6 months
* Roster: 3x1
* Hours per day: (68 hour week)
o 10 hours per day Monday to Friday, unpaid 30 min lunch (6:30 am to 5:00pm)
o 10 hours per day Saturday, paid 30 min lunch (6:30 am to 4:30 pm)
o 8 hours per day on Sundays, paid 30 mins lunch (6:30 am to 2:30 pm)
* Rate: $96.50/hr + Super paid on all hours worked (Flat Rate)
* POH: Perth - however we will cover flights from any capital City in Australia
* Travel: Travel is in first and last day of swing, travel into Karratha on your first and out of Karratha on the last day of the swing.
* Up to 2 hours travel for Perth based, up to 8 hours travel interstate.
* You will be paid only the hours you work plus travel (as above) on first and last day.
* We will cover flights for interstate employees and assist with accommodation as required.
Scope of Work:
* Perform instrument loop checking from field instruments to control systems (PLC/DCS/ESD/F&G).
* Verify correct installation, wiring, tubing, tagging, and grounding of field instruments.
* Calibrate pressure, temperature, flow, and level instruments (transmitters, switches, gauges).
* Conduct functional testing of control valves, on/off valves, MOVs, and actuators.
* Troubleshoot loop discrepancies, signal issues, and field wiring problems.
About You:
* WA - Unrestricted Electrical Licence (A-Grade)
* Hazardous Area
* Cert III or IV Instrumentation
* Trade Certificate
* CPR / LVR certificates
* First Aid (Desirable)
