**ABOUT THE ROLE**
As the Executive General Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in steering the company's growth and shaping its legacy. Reporting directly to the shareholder board, you will lead strategic initiatives, enhance operational efficiency, and drive commercial success.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Collaborate closely with the board to craft and implement sustainable growth strategies, focusing on product development, sales (on-premise & off-premise), and optimizing distribution;
- Manage financial metrics (e.g. P&Ls, margins), deliver insightful monthly reports to the board, and implement cost control measures;
- Drive margin improvement initiatives and cost optimization strategies to enhance overall profitability;
- Develop and project manage business strategies to drive company growth;
- Provide vision and leadership across all business areas, partnering with department managers to oversee activities;
- Ensure seamless general operations, overseeing budgets, and maintaining compliance with laws and regulations;
- Cultivate a positive company culture through impactful leadership, promoting inclusivity and accountability;
- Nurture a safe working environment, championing workplace health and safety policies.
**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
- Possess a degree in Accounting, Finance or a similar field;
- Bring a minimum of 5 years' experience in an Executive Management role;
- Showcase proven success in steering diverse companies, demonstrating expertise in commercial, operational, and financial management;
- An understanding of the wholesale liquor industry in Australia and associated trends, would be highly advantageous;
- Experience managing contracts from a supplier, customer and wholesale perspective;
- Strong project management skills.
