CBRE Data Center Technician
Location: Huntingwood, Sydney (Static location). Full-time permanent role, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 8am-4pm. Performance bonus eligible. Attractive remuneration and company benefits.
About the Role
As a CBRE Data Center Technician, you will maintain the operational integrity of critical infrastructure. You will perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs in a data center environment, ensuring seamless operation of systems such as UPS, generators, chillers, electrical distribution, HVAC, BMS, and CMMS work dispatching. This role focuses on delivering technical maintenance services in high‐stakes client environments.
What You'll Do
* Conduct daily site inspections of all mechanical & electrical engineering systems and equipment.
* Ensure environmental conditions are safe and efficient.
* Respond promptly to BMS alarms and perform emergency repairs.
* Collaborate with third‐party vendors to ensure compliance with processes, procedures, and laws.
* Notify management of subcontractor performance issues.
* Execute planned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
* Monitor the BMS for running and alarm conditions, addressing HVAC‐related client issues.
* Perform building walkthroughs and take meter readings from UPS, PDUs, and utilities.
* Address facility and plant faults and defects with effective solutions.
* Complete work following established processes and safety protocols.
* Maintain comprehensive maintenance records and perform routine quality checks.
* Complete required training for job‐related responsibilities.
* Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems.
* Deliver results following defined procedures under close supervision.
What You'll Need
* Training in a technical discipline, with 1–2 years of job‐related experience or equivalent education; Certificate III preferred.
* Ability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
* Meeting the physical requirements of the role.
* Strong communication skills to present information to internal departments, clients, and colleagues.
* Basic work routine and standards knowledge.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Basic math skills.
* High level of accuracy and precision.
* Commitment to delivering exceptional results in a fast‐paced environment.
* Familiarity with general maintenance and repair practices, including electrical work and painting.
* Must hold Certificate III Electrical & NSW Non‐restricted License.
* Australia citizenship required; NV1 clearance may be required.
