Research Scientist and Senior Research Scientist
We are seeking highly skilled individuals to join our team as Research Scientists and Senior Research Scientists. These roles will play a key part in delivering ecophysiological or molecular ecology research relevant to rare plant species.
As a Research Scientist or Senior Research Scientist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing plant ecophysiology or molecular ecology research projects. You will work closely with external partners to deliver the research program and supervise laboratory and field technicians.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
1. Some (SC Level 1), broad (SC Level 2) or considerable/high level (SC Level 3) knowledge of and experience in, designing and implementing plant ecophysiology or molecular ecology research relevant to the conservation of Australian native plant systems.
2. Some (SC Level 1), broad (SC Level 2) or an extensive (SC Level 3) understanding and knowledge of Work Health and Safety across government and/or relevant industry sectors.
3. Some (SC Level 1), well-developed (SC Level 2) or demonstrated high level (SC Level 3) written communication skills including ability to produce peer reviewed scientific papers and/or industry reports.
4. Some (SC Level 1), directly relevant (SC Level 2) or demonstrated high level (SC Level 3) interpersonal skills including the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
5. Some (SC Level 1), relevant (SC Level 2) or demonstrated high level experience (SC Level 3) in project management, including the ability to plan, prioritize and meet deadlines, and manage project budgets.
6. A current Motor Vehicle Drivers Licence.
7. Capacity and capability to work and travel frequently to remote parts of Western Australia.
