About the role
We are seeking Support Workers to service the Adelaide and Southern Fleurieu Peninsula areas. Your role will be to assist a diverse range of clients, including aged and high-needs clients, with activities of daily living and providing support services in their own homes such as Domestic Assistance, Social Support, Respite, and Personal Care. We aim to provide high-quality care to enable our clients to maintain as much independence as possible while living in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote Client Choice, positive routines, and activities that are meaningful to the client, following Calvary Home Care's Service Delivery Model.
- Work in shifts within set time blocks/rosters.
- Drive client and company vehicles as needed.
- Support clients proactively to enhance their life choices both at home and in the community.
- Report changes in clients' health, care plans, or if additional services are required.
- Review communications received via email, Support Worker Connect, and other methods to stay current with policies, procedures, and activities.
- Ensure your own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
- Protect clients' rights and confidentiality, ensuring care maintains client dignity and privacy.
Minimum Requirements
- Completed a minimum of Certificate III in Individualised Support, Home & Community Services, Aged Care, or equivalent.
- Current full driver’s license.
- Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate & CPR.
- Living in the Southern Suburbs or on the Southern Fleurieu (Highly desirable).
- Reliable motor vehicle with valid registration & comprehensive third-party insurance.
- Smart mobile phone or device.
- NDIS Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
- Police Clearance within 6 months (or willingness to obtain).
- Access to the internet and experience with computers and applications.
- Ability to embrace a meaningful role in the community.
