Mechanical Technician - Field Service Specialist
Diagnose and complete less complex repairs to engines at customer sites. Engage customers in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring prompt and efficient attention to their needs.
Responsibilities
1. Use specialized tools and follow documented procedures to diagnose and complete repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
2. Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engines and related components in the field.
3. Evaluate unresolved issues with more experienced colleagues or supervisors.
4. Document all service activities, including service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, and quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
5. Identify additional service opportunities with customers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution; preferred: apprentice-trained engine technician.
* Licenses/Certifications: valid driver's license, and possibly export control-related certifications.
* At least basic-level experience in field service work and intermediate knowledge of engine products and customer service.
