Key Role in Suicide Prevention
We are seeking a compassionate and driven professional to provide individualised, recovery-focussed support to customers on the Far North Coast.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in encouraging engagement with the Way Back Model service, particularly among groups known to be at higher risk of suicide.
This critical role involves providing face-to-face, telephone and online support to help individuals stay safe and connect with essential services.
Additionally, you will play a key part in reducing burden on supporting networks, including family and carers, and working collaboratively with existing services to complement current provision.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Mental Health or Social Services related fields
* Ability to communicate effectively and work with other staff members outside of the immediate team
* Self-motivated with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Preparedness to travel to between Tweed Head and surrounding areas
* Valid Australian Drivers C class licence and ability to drive vehicles in licence class
* Must be fit to undertake the physical requirements of customer support, including lifting 10 kilograms unassisted
