The Venue
The Sydney Opera House hosts millions of visitors annually. This world-famous landmark on Sydney Harbour is an iconic performing arts venue, hosting a variety of events including concerts and theater productions.
The Role
We are seeking talented Cooks and Chefs to join our kitchen team. This casual role is ideal for individuals experienced in fast-paced restaurant, function, and event environments, committed to delivering high-quality food. Responsibilities include preparing and serving food across bars, functions, and events throughout the year.
To be successful in this role
Minimum 2+ years of experience
Flexibility to work a rotating roster from Monday to Sunday
Team-oriented, respectful, and supportive of colleagues
High standards in food quality and taste for events and à la carte service
Chef qualifications or equivalent trade experience
Flexible attitude, clear communication, and excellent customer service skills
Exceptional grooming and pride in presentation
Ability to mentor, lead, and coach team members
Reliable, dedicated, eager to learn, and passionate
Adherence to all Food Safety Standards
