Key Responsibilities:Assist with day-to-day accounting operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger activities.Generate and issue accurate invoices to dealers / clients in line with contractual terms.Monitor dealer accounts and follow up on overdue payments to ensure timely collection.Apply and post payments received from dealers / clients accurately and in a timely manner.Reconcile accounts receivable, accounts payable, and balance sheet accounts, and investigate discrepancies.Assist with month-end, half-year end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in the accounting system (Pentana-SAP).Support the finance team with audit requests, schedules, and documentation.Identify and support process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
What We Are Looking For?We are seeking candidates with a solid accounting background. Experience in the automotive industry, particularly with an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), is considered a bonus; however, we also welcome talented candidates from other industries.Experience collaborating with Tier 1 suppliers or multiple OEMs will also be considered an added advantage.Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.2–4 years of experience in an assistant accountant, accounts receivable/payable, or general accounting role.Sound knowledge of accounting principles and basic financial reporting.Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.Good communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a finance team.Knowledge of Australian accounting standards and GST is highly regarded.
