The Opportunity
We are seeking a Drillers Offsider/Assistant to join our close‐knit team. This physically demanding role supports the Driller with day-to-day drilling operations and requires someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work in remote locations for up to two weeks at a time.
This is a locally based role (not FIFO) with a mix of local and away work—typically a 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster when working remotely.
What You Will Be Doing
* Assisting the Driller with all daily drilling operations
* Performing daily maintenance and pre-start checks
* Cleaning, servicing, and maintaining drilling equipment
* Helping maintain compliance and operational records
* Supporting workshop fabrication and repairs
* Completing all tasks as directed by the Driller or senior offsider
What We're Looking For
Essential:
* Strong work ethic and good communication skills
* Ability to work flexible hours and spend periods away from home
* Ability to operate machinery and use initiative
* Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail
* Physically fit and able to perform labour-intensive tasks
* Ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol testing
* Ability to obtain a current National Police Clearance
* Successful completion of a pre-employment medical and fitness assessment
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Motivated, reliable, and eager to learn
* Must be an Australian citizen
Highly Regarded (but not essential):
* Unrestricted HR or HC Queensland truck licence
* Current First Aid Certificate
