Our organization is seeking a Sexual Assault Clinician to join our team. The successful applicant will provide specialist crisis and ongoing counselling to clients and families of the local health district.
Key Responsibilities
The Sexual Assault Counsellor will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals who have experienced sexual assault, as well as their families and loved ones. This may involve working in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, and community-based programs.
* Provide specialist crisis and ongoing counselling services to clients and families.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs and goals of each client.
* Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
* Provide education and resources to clients and families on topics such as trauma, recovery, and healthy relationships.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess the following qualifications and skills:
* Tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, or a related field.
* Current registration with AHPRA as a psychologist or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers as a social worker.
* Demonstrated experience in crisis support and ongoing counselling, particularly in the area of sexual assault.
* Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and practices.
