Mid North Coast Community College Limited – Port Macquarie NSW

Mid North Coast Community College is a community education provider delivering inclusive programs across the Mid North Coast. The college offers a Special Assistance High School, an OOSHC, a Play Centre & Cafe and at its core, Adult & Community Education (ACE).

This position manages the ACE divisions compliance and is offered as a part or full‑time role based in Port Macquarie or Taree campus.


About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced RTO operator. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of the VET Quality Framework, ASQA compliance. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth delivery of training operations, compliance documentation, and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

* Contribute to daily RTO operations, including student administration, trainer management, and academic coordination.
* Ensure compliance with ASQA Standards for RTOs 2025.
* Lead and support staff across compliance, academic, and administration functions.


Core Workplace Objectives


Regulatory Compliance

* Ensure alignment with the VET Quality Framework, including Standards for RTOs, the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
* Maintain AVETMISS data integrity and compliant student records.
* Review and update marketing materials, enrolment forms, and policy documents to ensure they meet current regulatory requirements.
* Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks.
* Evaluate and report on internal controls and risk management strategies.
* Track and manage audit outcomes and ensure timely resolution of non‑compliance or risks.


Professional Development and Industry Engagement

* Liaise with external providers to assist the development of programs.
* Create and maintain Competency Profile templates to support instructional delivery and compliance.
* Develop and maintain mechanisms for industry engagement to inform curriculum and delivery practices.


Key Selection Criteria

* Minimum Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent.
* In-depth knowledge of ASQA and related RTO compliance frameworks.
* Demonstrated experience in vocational education and training (VET).
* Proven expertise in audits, risk management, and policy development.
* Strong organisational and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
* Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Proven leadership in compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.


Applicants must be willing and able to provide:

* Current Australian Driver's Licence.
* Annual National Police Checks.
* Working with Children's Check.
* Undertake further professional development.

MNCCC is a small regional based operator that provides programs to community members of all ages, although its primary focus is on delivering training and education to the most vulnerable in the community. It operates a small team and requires a hands‑on approach.
