About Us
Our purpose is to deliver an effective corrections system for a safe community. We are responsible for the management and supervision of prisoners on parole, clients under post sentence supervision, and court orders. Our organization is currently experiencing rapid growth in the offender population. In response to this, we will embed evidence-based practice across all areas of our work and target responses to the areas that will allow the greatest impacts to be made.
About The Role
As the Community Work Development Officer, you will play a key role in the development and maintenance of productive and sustainable community work partnerships. You will actively seek opportunities for offenders to participate in meaningful work that promotes offender rehabilitation and enhances community safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain productive and sustainable partnerships with community organizations
* Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
* Mentor and support colleagues to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively
* Produce detailed reports and other standard documents in line with procedural guidelines
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Experience in developing and maintaining productive and sustainable partnerships with community organizations
* Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively and mentor colleagues
* Capability to produce detailed reports and other standard documents in line with procedural guidelines
