The current incumbent is transitioning into a dedicated SME role to support an upcoming Payroll/HRIS transformation project, opening the door for a strong finance leader to step in.

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a senior role within a complex, growing organisation that operates on a scale across multiple business units.
In this position, you will lead a team of 10 across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of core transactional services.
You will also take ownership of group treasury activities including cash flow, banking facilities, FX exposure, leasing and bank guarantees.
Working closely with the broader finance leadership group, you will drive reporting improvements, strengthen financial controls, and deliver insights that support operational decision-making.
This role suits someone who is hands-on, collaborative and passionate about service excellence.
You'll partner with leaders across the organisation, build strong internal relationships, and champion continuous improvement to enhance the Finance function.
Key Responsibilities Include: Leading and developing AP, AR and Payroll teams to deliver high-quality service Managing group treasury functions including cash flow, banking facilities, FX and guarantees Ensuring compliance with statutory reporting: BAS, GST, payroll tax, workers comp and other regulatory obligations Enhancing financial reporting, analysis and customer (internal stakeholder) capability Driving process and system improvements across transactional finance Supporting monthly board reporting inputs and cash flow forecasting Overseeing credit cards, corporate travel, and other internal financial administration processes About you: Degree-qualified with CA/CPA accreditation Demonstrated experience leading transactional finance teams Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Advanced Excel and ERP experience (Dynamics/SAP/TM1 preferred) Proven ability to improve systems, processes and financial practices Experience in engineering, manufacturing or heavy industry environments is advantageous This is a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking meaningful leadership, organisational impact, and the chance to shape a high-performing transactional finance function within a major business.
