Position Overview
You will join the deployment team at our Adelaide office as a Field Supervisor. You will be responsible for working as part of the Project Delivery Team that is responsible for the Construction, Technical Installation, Fibre works and integration of Telecommunications Equipment. The role requires you to work as part of the construction team across Utility-related Communications projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Schedule subcontractors, employees, equipment and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.
* Oversee and direct field activities from conception to completion.
* Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Direct and manage crews plus any subcontractors on site
* Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones. Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
* Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques through consistent training.
* Provide plans and/or documents to field staff and provide instruction to ensure crew leader and crew are prepared to complete the job.
* Visit job sites on a regular basis, observing organization of work, identifying and resolving project issues and taking necessary actions to ensure quality and timely completion
* Report daily activity on app-based software
* Participate in daily crews start up
* Attend and contribute at assigned weekly company meetings
* Assist Project Manager weekly with current project statuses
Requirements
* Rack fitting and installation of telecommunications equipment
* Structured cabling
* Installation & testing of fibre optic cables
* Installation & cabling of 48V DC panels
* Coordination of rigging crews for the implementation of point-to-point microwave radio is desirable
* Excellent communication skills
* Able to work in a collaborative environment
* Attention to detail
* High emphasis on safety and processes
* Experience working in electrical substations and/or mining and oil & gas highly regarded
* ElectraNet TAAM Licence highly regarded
