Job Title: Client Services Officer

The North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency Ltd provides legal assistance and justice services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across the Northern Territory. Our organisation is committed to delivering high-quality representation and promoting long-term change through law reform and education.
About the Role:
* Support clients in prison, detention and the community including through audio-visual link.
* Respond to enquiries and assist communication between clients and lawyers.
* Assist with bail proposals, referrals, accommodation and rehabilitation arrangements.
* Maintain accurate records, conflict checks and court lists.
* Support bush courts and remote community visits.
* Provide cultural knowledge and guidance to legal staff.
Key Requirements:
* Knowledge and understanding of contemporary Aboriginal culture, society and the challenges facing Aboriginal people in the justice system.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills particularly with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
* Demonstrated initiative and commitment to high-quality client service.
* Experience in office procedures, data entry and file management.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
* Willingness to travel to remote communities and assist with bush courts.
* A current NT driver's licence (4WD clearance)
* Ability to obtain an Ochre Card and pass a criminal history check.
