CELOTTI WORKFORCE is currently seeking experienced Jumbo Operators to join our clients’ underground mining operations in Kalgoorlie, WA. About the Role: We are seeking capable and motivated Jumbo Operators to support underground development activities on a stable, long-term project in Kalgoorlie, WA. Working a balanced 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off FIFO roster, you will play a critical role in advancing headings safely, efficiently, and to plan. This is a hands-on production role suited to operators who take pride in precision drilling, strong safety performance, and working as part of a disciplined underground crew. You will be responsible for delivering quality development outcomes, maintaining equipment standards, and working closely with supervisors and site teams to achieve project targets. Roles & Responsibilities: Drill development faces in line with engineered mine designs Operate modern underground drill rigs (single and twin boom units – Sandvik / Epiroc) Install primary ground support systems including bolts and mesh Interpret mine drawings, drill layouts, and production schedules Conduct pre-starts, complete equipment inspections, and identify maintenance requirements Maintain accurate operational records, shift reports, and required documentation Work in alignment with site safety systems and underground procedures Coordinate closely with charge-up crews, supervisors, and service teams Proactively identify and manage hazards to maintain a safe underground environment Contribute to achieving production targets while maintaining high-quality workmanship Our Ideal Candidates: Minimum 3 years’ experience operating underground jumbo drills Experience operating twin-boom jumbo equipment in a production environment Sound understanding of ground support standards and development sequencing Current HR Driver’s Licence Relevant underground site inductions Strong knowledge of underground safety systems and hazard management Ability to read and interpret drill plans and mine drawings Confidence working independently in remote underground environments Strong communication skills and reliability on shift Full Australian working rights Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and National Police Clearance What's on Offer: Flights from anywhere in Australia, meals and accommodation provided when on roster (house accommodation, not caravan) Permanent, full-time position from commencement Even-time 2:2 FIFO roster $115 to $130ph Competitive hourly rates (based on experience) Established underground operation with a strong long-term outlook Supportive leadership team focused on safety, performance, and wellbeing How to Apply: If this is a position you could see yourself in, please click APPLY, or get in touch with Milli from CELOTTI WORKFORCE on 1300 235 688, or send your resume to milli@celotti.com.au About Us: CELOTTI WORKFORCE is a specialist provider of temporary and permanent blue and white collar staff to the building, infrastructure and resources sectors across Australia.
