Position
Newly created role reporting to the Site HR Manager. This position will help support site growth and lead the site HR function in the manager's absence, including the following responsibilities.
Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company standards while maintaining accurate HR records and data for effective reporting and analysis.
Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, training and retention programs, supporting and coaching hiring managers.
Providing guidance on and leading disciplinary matters, performance management, and workplace investigations.
Supporting camp management efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives and analysis.
Partnering with site leadership to manage workforce planning, rosters, and succession planning.
Providing coaching and mentoring to frontline leaders, supervisors, and team members to support leadership development and employee growth.
Supporting the implementation and communication of company policies and procedures.
Fostering a high-performance culture, and mentoring team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Enabling the successful sitewide implementation and rollout (including training and change management) of SAP SuccessFactors.
The Successful Applicant
Ideal candidates should demonstrate a strong track record working in a site-based HR position in mining or a related industry. Demonstrated ability in the following areas is preferred:
Tertiary qualifications.
Experience in remote or developing countries, particularly Papua New Guinea.
Strong track record with performance management and disciplinary matters.
Experience in or exposure to enabling and embedding change associated with ERP implementations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, using data to provide solutions.
Ability to work across different cultures.
Strong resilience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
