About the role
We currently have an exciting opportunity which will be based within our clients centralised print centres located at Redland City Council. This role will suit someone who enjoys working in different locations on a weekly basis depending on our client needs. In this role you will provide the full provision of services including Print production and the preparation and distribution of print work. If you enjoy solving problems and exceeding client expectations, this role will be perfect for you.
To be qualified for this position, ideally you will have previous experience in a similar role, or your background and skills will comprise of the following:
- Print room production and document composition duties
- Ensuring high quality internal and external documents are produced in the print centre
- Providing offline finishing binding, scoring, and laminating
- Utilising job submission software to receive and manage print requests
- Managing overflow and specialty requirements with outsourced print partners
- Pre‑production document design, editing and imposition to suit the individual job requirements
- Basic level trouble shooting on production printers
Knowledge & Experience & Requirements
- Self‑motivated and comfortable working autonomously
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Flexible, willing to assist, comfortable to meet deadlines in line with SLA’s
- Enjoy collaborating with client staff and your KM peers
- Current working with children checks
- Familiar with KM Production equipment would be advantageous
- Good understanding of the end‑to‑end production workflow
- Proven experience as a print room operator
- Sound skills in Microsoft office applications
- Experience with Creative cloud suite of applications would be advantageous
- IT network and software application related troubleshooting experience will be very highly regarded
