Overview
Veolia ANZ is seeking a Cadet or Graduate Engineer to join our water team based at Cameron Park, 2285. As the Cadet/Graduate Engineer, you will provide technical support to our Hunter Water Alliance Process & Sustainability Team, ensuring the smooth operation of our water & wastewater treatment plants. You will assist with data entry, monitoring, compliance assessment, troubleshooting, and reporting, as well as participate in process investigations and problem solving.

What you'll be responsible for
- Collection of data for weekly, monthly, and annual reporting
- Generate operational, contractual, and regulatory reports
- Participate in monthly and annual compliance and sustainability target tracking
- Maintain, develop, and improve operational and compliance spreadsheets using VBA macros
- Assist with process investigations, troubleshooting, and problem solving relating to wastewater treatment
- Provide technical support for potential upgrade/improvement projects
- Assist with process optimisation to ensure effluent quality targets meet contract and regulatory requirements with optimal use of energy and chemicals
What you'll need to be successful
- Recently graduated or currently studying for a Bachelor Degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering
- A strong desire to pursue a career in the water industry
- Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to show initiative and be proactive whilst working autonomously
