About the Role Provide direct support, care and mentorship to children and young people living in Intensive Therapeutic Care homes across the Central Coast. Some of the young people we care for may also have a disability or complex medical needs requiring specialised support, including personal care. You will be part of a dedicated to team working to ensuring a safe, homelike environment where these young people can thrive, supporting them to learn independent life skills, develop problem solving skills and to build appropriate and positive relationships with others. Our residential homes operate 24/7, therefore it is essential that successful applicants are able and willing to work a roster which regularly includes afternoon, sleepover and weekend shifts. We will not be able to consider applicants who cannot fulfil this requirement. Skills & Experience A Diploma in Community Services or related field, OR willingness to complete a Diploma offered by LWB (Note: a qualification is desirable but not essential for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with relevant experience) Current Provide First Aid and CPR certificates. Experience with high behaviours and people with disability is required Australian Drivers Licence Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and NSW Working with Children Check.
