Claims Advisor - Common Law Team, Sydney
Suncorp is seeking a highly motivated Claims Advisor to join our Common Law team in Sydney. This pivotal role involves managing a diverse portfolio of claims from inception through to resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
* Investigate liability and analyse medical and rehabilitation data.
* Assess claim values and negotiate settlements.

What You'll Do:
1. Manage and negotiate claims, communicating with solicitors or direct claimants via phone, correspondence, and attending settlement conferences or hearings.
2. Obtain and review medical, financial, investigative, and rehabilitation reports to accurately assess claims.
3. Ensure legislative compliance timeframes are met, with ongoing review of reports.
4. Implement strategies to resolve claims cost-effectively.
5. Facilitate early access to rehabilitation to promote optimal recovery.
6. Negotiate claim settlements in line with legislative, regulatory, and procedural guidelines.
7. Provide excellent customer service to legislative authorities, employers, and injured claimants, ensuring compliance and timely processing.
Requirements:
* Knowledge and experience in handling CTP or personal injury claims or legal background preferred.
* Tertiary qualifications in Law, Allied Health, or Insurance are advantageous.
* Excellent analytical and technical skills.
* High attention to detail.
* Proactive, energetic team player.
* Professional approach to claims handling.
* Strong verbal communication, listening, rapport-building, and negotiation skills.
* Strong administrative and written skills.
