This is a senior leadership role with national remit, leading a large team who are responsible for supporting a diverse client group. Your remit will be to shape the injury recovery strategy, strengthening compliance and governance, and ensuring the delivery of consistent and financially sustainable outcomes across a complex operating landscape. Reporting to executive leadership, the role plays a key part in influencing enterprise-wide recovery and wellbeing frameworks.
About the Role
As the National Manager, Return to Work & Injury Management, you will provide strategic leadership across injury recovery and workplace reintegration programs nationally. Key responsibilities include:
* Providing strategic leadership and capability uplift to a national recovery and case management function
* Designing, implementing and embedding consistent national injury recovery and return-to-work strategies
* Providing oversight and governance of high-risk and complex recovery matters, ensuring timely intervention and sustainable outcomes
* Ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, regulatory frameworks and internal governance standards across multiple jurisdictions
* Driving financially sustainable recovery outcomes through performance management, cost control and data-led decision making
* Partnering with senior leaders to provide expert advice on recovery, health, safety and wellbeing initiatives
* Managing relationships with external providers including insurers, rehabilitation specialists and legal advisors
* Delivering executive-level reporting on recovery performance, cost trends, risk indicators and improvement initiatives
* Leading enterprise-level continuous improvement initiatives to enhance systems, processes and recovery outcomes
* Championing a strong culture of safety, wellbeing and accountability across the organisation
About You
You are a senior recovery or claims leader with experience operating in complex, regulated service environments. You are likely to bring:
* Significant senior experience in injury recovery, claims management or related disciplines
* Strong understanding of regulatory, legislative and governance frameworks across multiple jurisdictions
* Commercial acumen with experience managing performance, cost drivers and program outcomes
* Highly developed stakeholder engagement and negotiation capability at executive level
* Strong analytical and reporting capability with the ability to translate data into strategic insight
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in health, safety, insurance or a related discipline (desirable)
* A leadership style that builds trust, accountability and high performance
