**About the Role:**
A Maintenance Supervisor opportunity has become available at a leading nickel mining and processing operation in Western Australia. The role involves managing and directing the activities of a team to achieve maximum plant availability, efficiency, and equipment utilisation.
* Main Responsibilities:
* The direct supervision of maintenance personnel including welders, boilermakers, and pipefitters.
* Ensuring all maintenance targets are met and the plant is maintained in a safe condition.
* Allocating daily work priorities and allocating manpower for tasks.
* Measuring team performance and assessing training requirements.
* Ensuring suitability and availability of equipment spares through liaison with area maintenance planners and schedulers.
* Maintaining and updating relevant procedures.
About You:
This role would suit an experienced maintenance professional with a track record of supervising various metal trades teams.
* You will have trade qualifications in welding or metal fabrication.
* Demonstrated success as an effective leader in a customer-focused work environment.
* Previous experience in managing costs.
* A demonstrated application of continuous improvement ideas.
* Good computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems, word processing, and spreadsheet applications.
* A current Western Australian C-Class manual driver's licence.
