About this role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Policy and Advocacy professional to join our team.
* The successful candidate will contribute to the development and communication of evidence-informed policy recommendations, and assist with the development and implementation of advocacy and campaign strategies.
* Key responsibilities include monitoring and analysing public policy development processes, undertaking consultations with stakeholders, contributing to advocacy efforts, and evaluating the impact of work in the spirit of continuous improvement.
Your key qualifications:
* A strong understanding of social justice principles and their application to policy development and advocacy.
* Relevant experience in policy analysis, development and evaluation.
* Demonstrated skills in delivering impactful advocacy, including clear and targeted report writing, verbal briefings and presentations.
* Proven project management skills, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and contributing to a positive workplace culture.
* A strong knowledge of Tasmanian political structures, community services industry and social policy issues.
Requirements:
* Current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category).
* Presentation of an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people type National Police Check.
* International Police Check if applicable.
* Satisfactory medical assessment.
* Current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence.
