Sutton Park, a 113‐bed residential aged care facility based in Melton South. With easy transport links and onsite staff parking, it's a highly convenient place to work.
About The Opportunity
Working closely with the Lifestyle team the Bus Driver is responsible for providing driving services for, and to ensure safe and comfortable transport of Residents to a range of local areas. Your day will involve driving the bus, helping residents of differing abilities on and off the bus, ensuring proper record keeping and logs for the bus and cleaning the bus as required. We are looking for someone who is a good problem solver, who uses initiative, and demonstrates good presentation and customer service at all times.
This is a shared role between our 2 homes; the successful candidate will be working across 2 homes. One located in Melton South and another one located in Sunbury.
About You
* A current Victorian driving licence (LR/MR/HR)
* A current Driver Certificate (Apply For Your Driver Accreditation | Safe Transport Victoria)
* Be able to pass a pre‐employment physical examination and medical history check
* Australian Work Rights
* Experience driving a bus is essential
* Experience in aged care or community work is preferable
* Manual handling experience
* Safe driving record
* Availability and reliability to commit to required shifts
* Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and all levels of staff
* Strong passion for working with the elderly
* Free seasonal flu vaccination
The successful applicant must complete a National Police Check and may be required to undertake a NDIS check.
