About the Role
The Sous Chef - Redbank Plains Tavern is a key position in our hospitality team.
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at Redbank Plains Tavern, located approximately 30 minutes from Brisbane's city centre.
This is a brilliant opportunity to become a Sous Chef at the Redbank Plains Tavern.
Key Responsibilities:
* Run the pass during busy service times to ensure the timely and accurate preparation of dishes to surpass guest expectations.
* Support the Head Chef with menu planning, inventory management, and food preparation.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
* Create and manage staff rosters.
* Manage food safety and ensure adherence to compliance and safety standards.
What You'll Need:
* Previous experience working as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume establishment.
* Able to lead effective teams and build a positive culture.
* Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
* Operational experience to achieve financial and business targets.
* Trade Cooking qualifications.
