The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to induction. This includes ensuring completeness of onboarding forms and input into the system, maintaining and updating confidential personnel records as needed, and processing initial and final payrolls with accuracy.
Key responsibilities include:
* Facilitating the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to induction.
* Maintaining and updating confidential personnel records as needed.
* Processing initial and final payrolls and verifying accuracy.
* Handling Superannuation and TFN filings.
* Preparing ABA files for finance, validating bank details, and uploading to ANZ.
* Conducting payroll checks before processing, comparing to previous month's movements.
* Registering Paid Parental Leave and preparing separation certificates as necessary.
* Coordinating annual personnel record updates and EOY review spreadsheets.
* Addressing payroll inquiries from employees and managing timesheets.
* Staying informed about payroll and employee legislation in Fiji and NZ.
* Providing bank details to finance and updating internal stakeholders on new employee information.
* Reviewing awards and ensuring contract compliance with National Employment Standards.
* Staying updated on staff pay and entitlements.
* Assisting with recruitment processes, including job advertising and payment of recruiter fees.
* Supporting the Chief of People, Process, and Systems Officer.
* Assisting with the annual performance and remuneration review process, including salary benchmarking and maintaining the remuneration register.
* Contributing to quarterly reports for the board as needed.
* Supporting the selection, implementation, and management of integrated HR Management System/Platform.
* Handling HR administrative tasks and liaising with Systems Support on technical payroll issues.
* Performing WEGA reporting.
* Minimum 2 years of payroll experience with large payrolls.
* Accounting Certificate preferred for finance-related tasks.
* Attention to detail is essential.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Flexibility and openness to evolving roles and company dynamics.
* Experience with NetSuite/Infinet Cloud (MyPay) highly desirable.
* Proficiency in Excel and Word.
