Jenny's Place is a long‐standing, community‐based organisation supporting women and children experiencing domestic and family violence and homelessness. Since 1977, they have delivered crisis and transitional accommodation, outreach support, early intervention and prevention programs, alongside integrated case management to help clients access safe housing and wraparound supports.

About the Opportunity

The Core and Cluster model is a contemporary approach to supporting women and children experiencing domestic and family violence, combining independent, self‐contained accommodation ("the cluster") with a central hub ("the core") that provides access to wraparound supports such as case management, counselling and community services.

In this role, you will deliver the interim phase of the model, providing trauma‐informed outreach case management to women and children experiencing or at risk of homelessness as a direct result of DFV, with a particular focus on supporting clients from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. While the purpose‐built cluster is being developed, you will also play a key role in building community connections and shaping how this new program is established and delivered locally.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver culturally responsive, trauma‐informed case management to women and children experiencing DFV‐related homelessness, supporting both CALD and non‐CALD clients with a strong focus on CALD communities
* Undertake culturally informed risk assessment and safety planning, supporting safety while respecting cultural identity, family dynamics and community context
* Provide outreach support in safe settings, assisting clients to access housing, services and practical supports
* Build strong relationships with multicultural communities, leaders and services to strengthen access and engagement
* Work collaboratively with key stakeholders including DCJ, WDVCAS, housing providers and specialist services to deliver coordinated support
* Advocate for clients across legal, housing and community systems, including support with ADVOs, court processes and referrals
* Maintain clear case notes and contribute to a collaborative, culturally responsive and continuously improving team

About You

You are a compassionate and culturally aware practitioner with a strong understanding of the experiences of women and children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds impacted by domestic and family violence. You bring a trauma‐informed, culturally responsive approach and are confident in supporting clients through complex and sensitive situations.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Experience in case management, ideally within DFV or community services
* A sound understanding of domestic and family violence and its impact on women and children
* Strong cultural capability and experience working with CALD communities
* Strong relationship‐building skills, with the ability to engage across community and service partners
* A solutions‐focused approach, with the ability to work independently and take initiative
* Well‐developed organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
* Tertiary qualifications in Human Services (minimum Diploma level)
* Current driver's licence, Working with Children Check and National Police Check
