The role is currently being offered at a rate of $ 32.84 per hr + UTE + NFP packages, working 76 hrs per fortnight.
The Area Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the coordination and delivery of reactive and Preventative Maintenance on behalf of the organisation's owned and leased property portfolio across a designated area of responsibility.
- The role is required to be "Hands On" on occasion and when needed.
- The position reports to the Regional Property Services Manager NSW / ACT and will actively support all works undertaken by Property team-including Preventative Maintenance, Asset Management, Capital Works and Contractor Management.
- All Property works are conducted in alignment with Southern Cross Care NSW /ACT strategic plan, inclusive of financial priorities and in accordance with relevant industry codes and practices for regulatory compliance.
- The objective of the Property Operations Team is to provide a quality service to all Southern Cross Care sites through best practice Asset Management to achieve a Safe Working and Living Environment for Staff, Resident and Visitors.
**Essential**
- Minimum 5years' experience in Building Maintenance.
- Knowledge of relevant Building Codes and Standards as applied to Buildings & Maintenance.
- Knowledge of Property infrastructure, Buildings, and fixed Plant and Equipment installation, operations and maintenance practices.
- Knowledge and experience in WHS practices and procedures.
- Advanced skills and experience in the planning, and implementation of maintenance activities.
- Outstanding organisational and time management skills including the ability to establish priorities and plan working a proactive and efficient manner.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills including demonstrated experience interacting with a wide range of people.
- Competent in the use of Computers and Microsoft programs Sensitivity to the needs of the elderly in a residential care setting
- Ability to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and/or their families/representatives.
