Randstad is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented APS4 Security Vetting Officer to join a vital team within the Australian Federal Government. In this essential role, you will be a key contributor to the national security framework by ensuring the integrity and trustworthiness of personnel who access sensitive government information. Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct security vetting and assessments for new and existing personnel, in line with the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).
* Process and manage sensitive data, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with all relevant policies.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including applicants, referees, and other government agencies, to collect and verify information.
* Maintain meticulous records and registers of security clearances and associated documentation.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of vetting processes and procedures.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in a data processing or administrative role with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Previous experience in a security vetting, compliance, or similar regulatory environment is highly regarded.
* Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a high-volume workload and competing priorities.
