Programme overview
The purpose is to support the long-term sustainability of businesses and to bring trust and confidence to society and the financial markets. Technology, including AI, is transforming the way that the team delivers the audits as it’s embedded in everything that the team does. It allows to focus on using the key skills of analysis, exercising professional judgement, and providing powerful insights to EY teams and clients.
What you will be doing
* Working in teams analyse data, consider sustainability metrics, and test business controls to determine whether financial statements are accurate.
* Gaining exposure to EY networking with people from different levels of the business and working on live projects.
* Building your knowledge of the clients and how the team supports them.
* Developing core skills in business writing, effective time management, client service and personal brand through structured learning and self-directed learning.
* Being supported by an EY mentor and buddy across the programme.
* Working in teams alongside other EY people, learning from them as they coach and guide you in the work assigned to you.
About you
Eligibility for applying:
* If you’re in your penultimate year, or if you’re already in your final year but will be doing a one-year Master’s degree, or taking a gap year, this internship is for you.
* You must be studying at a UK university.
* EY operates an open access policy, meaning the company doesn’t screen out applications based on your academic performance alone. You will, however, need to be working towards an honours degree in any subject.
* You’ll also have a minimum of grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths, or in your home language if you do not hold English Language GCSE, and three A-levels/Five Highers (or equivalent) to be eligible to apply.
* EY welcomes applications from all academic backgrounds and is looking for individuals who will succeed at EY in the desired role and future qualifications, therefore throughout the recruitment process, your academic performance will be considered against your online assessment scores to determine your suitability for an EY role.
