About The Role And Team
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team.
The Finance Team at Hall & Wilcox is a team of 39 that provide financial and management accounting, trust accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and practice support functions across the Firm.
Working closely with the AP Team Leader, the Accounts Payable Officer will assist with the firm's end to end accounts payable processes in an efficient and effective manner. This will include meeting set deadlines, setting appropriate work priorities and making considered decisions under pressure.
Responsibilities
* High volume end to end accounts payable processing including vendor creation and maintenance, processing of invoices (approx. 2500 per month), preparation of cheques and EFT requests
* Daily EFT payments, including distribution of remittance advices
* Vendor management including on-boarding and maintenance through Eftsure and Aderant, month-end account and statement reconciliations and liaising with vendors to resolve queries
* Month-end support for AP related tasks
* Maintenance and management of Finance email inbox and other electronic filing
* Assisting with Accounts Payable projects and other ad-hoc tasks as required by the AP Team Leader and Finance Manager
About You
* Minimum 3 years' experience in an accounts payable role, preferably within professional services
* Experience in a high-volume accounts payable role
* Strong customer service focus with excellent communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced role
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise
* Strong attention to detail
* Competent Excel skills
* Previous experience with Aderant and Emburse Enterprise preferred but not essential
