Talent Advisory is seeking an experienced and motivated Site Supervisor to oversee construction projects across Northern Tasmania. This role is pivotal in managing daily site operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to specification, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with the Project Manager, the Site Supervisor will coordinate trades, deliveries, and equipment while fostering a safe, organised, and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and manage day-to-day construction activities in line with project plans and safety requirements
* Conduct daily toolbox meetings to cover safety, tasks, and project updates
* Schedule and coordinate subcontractors and trades in line with project timelines and construction codes
* Oversee site setup and amenities, including office, lunchroom, signage, and facilities
* Maintain high standards of site safety and housekeeping; ensure inductions, SWMS, and licensing are completed and compliant
* Carry out defect inspections and ensure timely rectification
* Provide daily progress reporting and maintain site diaries for the Project Manager
* Act as first responder for onsite incidents and ensure compliance with emergency and first aid procedures
* Support the Project Manager with administration, reporting, and software systems (laptop provided)
* Use project management software (e.g. Procore) for communication and reporting
Skills and Qualifications
* 3–5 years' experience in construction, including supervisory roles
* White Card, First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain); additional tickets such as Forklift, EWP, Telescopic Handler, Basic Rigging, and Working at Heights will be highly regarded
* Strong understanding of construction processes, safety standards, and industry regulations
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams
* Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and keep projects on track
* Proactive problem-solving approach with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
