Key Responsibilities
* Examine and ensure the quality of foodstuffs
* Prepare and cook food to required standards
* Season and portion food, adding gravies, sauces, and garnishes
* Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment
* Store food in temperature-controlled facilities
* Prepare meals to meet special dietary requirements
* May assist in menu planning and estimating food requirements
* May train and support junior kitchen staff and apprentices
