Job Overview:

This role involves working as a skilled tradesperson in a fast-paced environment, performing equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs to ensure optimal site performance.

Key Responsibilities:
\

1. Maintenance & Repairs: Perform routine maintenance, fault-finding and repairs on mechanical, electrical and automated systems.
\
2. Preventative Maintenance: Plan, schedule and execute preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
\
3. Automated Systems Oversight: Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot automated conveyance systems, SCADA and industrial control systems.
\
4. Compliance & Safety: Conduct regular safety inspections, maintain compliance records and ensure all maintenance work aligns with Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
\
5. Spares & Inventory Management: Track spare parts usage and ensure critical components are readily available to prevent operational delays.
\
6. Contractor & Project Coordination: Liaise with external contractors for specialized repairs, supervise work and ensure necessary permits and risk assessments are in place.
\
7. Process Improvement & Cost Control: Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, drive efficiency improvements and support LEAN manufacturing principles.
\
8. Material Flow & Uptime: Collaborate with operational managers to ensure seamless material flow, maximize plant productivity and reduce downtime.
\
9. Flexibility: Willingness to work outside standard hours during peak periods or urgent maintenance situations.
\
Requirements:
\
\
10. Experience in a maintenance, engineering or technical role within an automated environment.
\
11. Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills, with knowledge of automated systems, SCADA, PLCs or similar industrial controls.
\
12. A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
\
13. Familiarity with preventative maintenance strategies and compliance requirements.
\
14. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
\
15. A strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations, ideally with an IOSH qualification (or willingness to obtain).
\
16. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, promoting a positive work environment.
\
Shift Pattern:
\
3 days ON, 2 days OFF, 2 days ON, 2 days OFF, 3 days ON and 2 days OFF.
\
Working Hours:
\
Non-peak: 12 am to 10 pm - Mon-Fri and 12 am to 9:30 Saturday-Sunday.
\
Peak:
\
12 hours shift as per peak rota.
