Role Overview and Responsibilities
Experienced Podiatrists required for a role with a regional health service, located approximately four hours from Adelaide. You’ll join a medium‑sized allied health team. The role is to start ASAP and is for three months ++ in duration.
The caseload will cover:
* Rural generalist caseload – predominantly outpatients, but includes some inpatients, aged care and paediatrics. May be opportunities for outreach to rural/remote communities. Caseload will be allocated as per experience.
* Regional/rural experience preferred – working with Aboriginal consumers, high risk wound experience battling complex foot conditions.
* Multi‑disciplinary team: OT, PT, SP, SW, O&P, DT. Podiatrists work closely with Diabetes Educators, Orthotics & Prosthetics and Wound Nurse. The Podiatry department will soon consist of 3 contractor/FIFO staff.
* Working in the local community. A car is provided for work purposes. The role will be Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
* Free accommodation.
* Up to $500 reimbursed for travel (with receipts).
* Competitive locum rates in line with experience.
Qualifications
Open to AHP 1, 2, or 3 Internal Levels. Experience required in outpatients, high‑risk feet and complex wound care. Regional/rural experience preferred.
