The Role
The Occupational Hygiene, Health & Wellbeing Specialist leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of occupational health, hygiene, and wellbeing systems across Northern Australia Operations. The role drives strategic programs for injury management, fitness for work, health surveillance, and wellbeing, while identifying, evaluating, and controlling occupational hazards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and a safe, healthy workplace.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead strategic and proactive programs for injury management, fitness for work, health surveillance, and wellbeing across Northern Australia Operations
* Identify, evaluate, and control occupational health hazards and exposures
* Design and execute occupational hygiene sampling and exposure monitoring programs
* Interpret data from NATA-accredited laboratories to assess compliance with workplace exposure standards
* Manage complex workers' compensation and injury management cases, including psychosocial risks
* Provide expert advice and coaching to leaders, HR, and HSEC teams
What you'll bring
* You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture
* Bachelor's degree in occupational hygiene, industrial hygiene, or similar
* Formal qualifications in personal injury management
* Certified Occupational Hygienist, or ability to obtain certification (highly desirable)
* Strong experience in occupational hygiene, injury management, and health program delivery within complex operational environments

The Site
This role is based at Phosphate Hill, with frequent travel to Mount Isa, Townsville Port and office facilities.
