This recruitment pool will run for a period of twelve (12) months and may be used to fill ongoing permanent opportunities.
Currently there is one (1) permanent position available in the Metropolitan area for immediate filling.

About the Role
The Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drug (MHAOD) Branch of the Justice Health and Wellbeing Service delivers mental health and alcohol and other drug healthcare to some of the most vulnerable and high-risk individuals in the State. The MHAOD staff work to improve patient outcomes and reduce associated harm and risks as far as possible.
MHAOD services are delivered by multidisciplinary teams made up of highly specialised staff including nurses, consultant psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, Aboriginal mental health workers and prison support officers.
The role of the Clinical Nurse (MHAOD) is to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care of those identified as having mental health and/or drug and alcohol related problems, to assess and manage clinical risk and to participate in the development of the Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service.
Eligibility
Qualifications – Applicants Must Have
A current registration in the category of Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA)
A relevant postgraduate qualification in mental health or addictions and/or extensive clinical experience in addictions and mental health
Special conditions – All employees are required to undergo employment screening, which includes a National Criminal History Check and other checks that may be relevant to the position requirements.
Permanent positions – To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.

Pool Recruitment
This pool will be open for a period of 12 months from the day after the breach of standard claim period closes. Permanent, and full-time appointments may be offered as vacancies arise; however, an appointment is not guaranteed.
The Department of Justice uses recruitment pools to build a bank of talent for future opportunities. Applicants found suitable in this pool, may be considered for subsequent, similar vacancies, with the Department of Justice for the duration of the pool.
